Happy Presidents Day!

20 Feb

Last Presidents Day weekend, DB and I went up to Boston for the long weekend and we had the best time.  The only downside was that it was soooo cold and windy!  We drove up and stayed with my cousins in their apartment in the West End, near the TD Garden.

Did you know that DB loves aquariums?  I’m not the biggest fan, but every now and then I give in.  We visited the Boston Aquarium and I had more fun in the gift shop.  But I did love those penguins!

In addition to walking around Boston (it had been a while since either of us were there), we did one of our favorite things when visiting a city – a brewery tour!  The Sam Adams brewery tour was one of the best we have ever been on.  It was so informative and interactive.  We tasted several beers and learned about the history of the brand, but most excitedly, we got to keep the glass.

Our final activity of our Boston weekend was the perfect activity for Presidents Day… JFK’s Presidential Library! This was my first presidential library visit (DB’s second)  and now I want to visit them all.  We learned so much about JFK and his family and it was a great history lesson.

I wish I took more pictures that weekend, but I think you get the idea.  Hope you are enjoying your day off!
