Breaking News: We are officially having a wedding

25 Aug

The contract has been signed. The deposit has been paid.

We officially have a wedding date and venue. Our wedding will be on November 3, 2012.

The venue is The Mezzanine in downtown Newark, NJ. The Mezzanine is an old bank inside a building that is a historic landmark. We loved the art deco decor and the city vibe.

Many more details to follow over the next 14+ months but for now, here are some pics of “The Mezz,” as I will now call it.

Please note these pics are all stolen from other peoples’ weddings that we found online.

We loved the old look of The Mezzanine's ceiling. It reminded us of Grand Central Station.

This is the aisle I will be walking down. 80 feet baby!

Sneak peek at the dance floor!

We are so excited and can’t wait to share more with you. It finally feels real.           xoxo db2be

I’m a little worried now that I do not have the appropriate attire for a Newark wedding. Nothing I own is bulletproof.

I love this place. So excited for you two. 80 feet of aisle – that’s no joke! You should get a cathedral train to be super dramatic! 🙂
